Ticket sales for WCWS on strong pace
Oklahoma and Oklahoma State sure to bring strong contingents
Ticket sales for the 2011 Women’s College World Series have been brisk, and the pace of sales increased during the weekend as Oklahoma and Oklahoma State punched their tickets to Hall of Fame Stadium. Sessions 3 and 5 have already sold out. Games begin at 1 p.m. ET Thursday at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
Friday’s Session 3 (Games 5 and 6) will feature the four winning teams from Thursday’s opening day of games, and will begin at 7 p.m. ET. Session 5 (Games 9 and 10) begins at that same time on Saturday, and will feature Friday’s losers against the winners of Games 7 and 8 (Session 4).
All games for the 2011 Women’s College World Series will be televised live on ESPN networks. Four Big 12 teams have advanced to the WCWS with Oklahoma State and Baylor scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. ET start in the second game of Thursday’s Session 1. They will follow the opening game of the WCWS between California and Alabama at 1 p.m.
Oklahoma will take to the field in the opening game of Session 2, playing top seed Arizona State at 7 p.m. ET, followed by Missouri and Florida at approximately 9:30 p.m.
