ARIZONA: Arizona has opened the season with victories over Toledo and The Citadel. While neither team is a powerhouse, the Wildcats still proved to be too much for either opponent, outscoring the Rockets and the Bulldogs by a combined score of 93-8. Against the Citadel, the Wildcats showcased a balanced attack that began with a punishing ground attack. Nic Grigsby led the way on the ground with 107 yards and three scores, while Greg Nwoko added 72 yards and two touchdowns. Because the game was well out of reach, starting quarterback Nick Foles did not play the whole game, but while under center the signal caller did throw for 214 yards and one touchdown. The Wildcats will remain home this upcoming weekend to take on a tough Big Ten squad in the Iowa Hawkeyes.

ARIZONA STATE: The Sun Devils faced another easy opponent this past weekend, as they clobbered Northern Arizona, 41-20. Arizona State, which opened the year with a 54-9 decision over Portland State, outscored NAU, 24-10 in the second half en route to the 21-point victory. Steven Threet led the way for ASU, throwing for 391 yards and three scores on 33-of-49 passing. Threet, however, was intercepted twice. Mike Willie, who hauled in one of Threet's touchdown throws, finished with 114 yards on eight receptions. After opening the season with back-to-back home matchups, the Sun Devils will not hit the road for the first time when they battle the Wisconsin Badgers.

CALIFORNIA: Two games into the season and the Golden Bears have already outscored their opponents, 104-10. The offensive domination is simply too scary for opponents to defend at the present moment, and Colorado witnessed that first-hand this past weekend. Kevin Riley only threw for 197 yards in the 52-7 decision, but did toss four touchdowns. Shane Vereen, who hauled in one of the touchdown throws, led Cal on the ground with 59 yards and one touchdown. The defense also got involved in the scoring, as Mike Mohamed returned an interception to paydirt, while Darian Hagan took a fumble to the house for the Golden Bears. California enjoyed two straight home contests to start the year, but now the team will travel away from Berkeley for the first time this year when they battle the Nevada Wolf Pack.

OREGON: Oregon's 72-0 victory over New Mexico in the opener was amazing, but the Ducks' second win on the season could be even more impressive, as they went to Knoxville an clobbered Tennessee, 48-13. After being tied 13 all at halftime, the Ducks came out of the locker room in the second half and promptly dominated Tennessee, scoring 35 consecutive points. LaMichael James, who was suspended for the opener, led the Ducks on the ground with 134 yards and one touchdown. Remene Alston added 40 yards and a score for Oregon, which totaled 245 rushing yards as a team. Darron Thomas was solid under center for Oregon, as the signal caller threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns on 17- of-32 passing. Fresh off a tough road win against the Tennessee Volunteers, the Ducks will return home to take on an FCS opponent in Portland State.

OREGON STATE: Oregon State opened its 2010 campaign with a 30-21 loss to TCU, but this past weekend the team was able to regroup from the setback with some rest. The Beavers will get back on the field this upcoming Saturday when they have their first road test of the year. It will be a tough one, as Oregon State will have the battle the very dangerous Boise State Broncos.

STANFORD: The Cardinal opened league play with a bang, as they pummeled the UCLA Bruins, 35-0. Stanford totaled 211 yards on the ground in the win, but it was a group effort by a few different players. Stepfan Taylor led the way with 81 yards, while quarterback Andrew Luck added 63 yards. Luck also threw two touchdowns in the win, but finished with just 151 yards on a mere 11-of-24 passing. The Cardinal will return home this weekend to battle the ACC's Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

UCLA: As if losing to Kansas State by a nine-point margin on the road to start the season was not hard enough, the Bruins turned around and dropped their first conference matchup on the year this past weekend. It was an ugly way the Bruins fell to 0-2 on the year, as the team was shutout by Stanford, 35-0. As a team, the Bruins finished with 152 yards on the ground, but there was not one player that eclipsed the 100-yard mark. Johnathan Franklin led the way with 73 yards, while Malcolm Jones added 52 yards. Derrick Coleman tallied 23 yards, but suffered a scary injury that left him with a concussion. The passing attack for UCLA was dreadful, as Kevin Price threw for just 39 yards. The signal caller completed just six passes and threw an interception in the loss. The Bruins will remain home for their next matchup, but will step out of conference action to take on the Houston Cougars.

USC: It was not easy, but the Trojans managed to win their second straight matchup in the Lane Kiffin era, as USC upended Virginia, 17-14. Matt Barkley threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns on 20-of-35 passing, while Marc Tyler and Dillon Baxter controlled the pace on the ground. Tyler finished with 67 yards, while Baxter added 49 yards. The Trojans will remain outside of conference action for one more week when they take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers on the road this weekend.

WASHINGTON: After opening the season with a six-point loss to BYU, the Huskies rebounded with a strong effort against Syracuse. Jake Locker proved why he is one of the best quarterbacks in the nation, throwing for 289 yards and four touchdowns on 22-of-33 efficiency. Three of those touchdown passes went to Jermaine Kearse, who collected nine passes for 179 yards. Balancing out the offense for the Huskies in the 41-20 victory, was Chris Polk, who rumbled for 117 yards and one touchdown on 20 carries. The Huskies will remain home for their next matchup when they host the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

WASHINGTON STATE: The Cougars needed 16 unanswered points in the final quarter to slip past Montana State, 23-22, this past weekend. In the first victory of the season for WSU, the team was led by James Montgomery, who rumbled for 116 yards and one score. Jeff Tuel added 204 yards and two scores through the air, but also tossed an interception and was sacked three times. The Cougars will return to the road this upcoming weekend when they travel to Dallas to battle SMU.
