St. Olaf Shuts Out Simpson 34-0

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - St. Olaf scored a 34-0 win over visiting Simpson College on Saturday at Manitou Field behind Leon Clark's 114 yards rushing and Dan Dobson's three touchdown tosses.

Clark opened the scoring in the second quarter with his 42-yard touchdown run. St. Olaf added two scores before the half, on a pair Dobson touchdown passes. He connected with Antonio Jennings for a 25-yard score with 4:45 left and Jared Mueller with 16 seconds remaining in the half from 26 yards out.

His final scoring throw was a 21-yard throw to Jake Schmiesing in the final seconds of the third quarter.

The St. Olaf defense limited Simpson to 135 total yards to collect the first shutout since 2008 (9/13/08, 17-0 vs. Pacific Lutheran).
