Texas-USC to Meet in 2017 and 2018

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Sports Network) - USC and Texas, the participants in the 2006 BCS championship game at the Rose Bowl, will play a home-and-home series in 2017 and 2018.

"USC versus Texas is a classic match-up and I'm sure fans from both schools, as well as all college football fans, will look forward to these games with much anticipation," USC athletics director Pat Haden said. "It's been a long time since USC has played Texas in the regular season, and of course we all remember how exciting the recent bowl game meeting was between the teams."

USC will host the Longhorns in the Coliseum on Sept. 16, 2017, then the Trojans will play in Austin on Sept. 15, 2018.

The Trojans hold a 4-1 lead in the series with Texas, but the Longhorns captured a dramatic 41-38 victory in the final seconds of the BCS national title contest.
