Maxwell Football Club President, Ron Jaworski, announced the 2009 Finalists for the 21st George Munger Award for the Collegiate Coach of the Year. The list includes a field of three candidates for this award as determined by the Semifinalist voting process which ended on November 22nd.
The three finalists for the 21st George Munger Award are listed below in alphabetical order with the coach's school noted:
Al Golden, Temple University
Brian Kelly, University of Cincinnati
Gary Patterson, Texas Christian University
Finalist voting for the George Munger Award will commence on Tuesday November 23, 2009 and close at noon eastern time on Sunday December 6, 2009. Eligible voters include Maxwell Football Club members, NCAA Head Football Coaches, Sports Information Directors and selected national media.
The announcement of the winner of the Maxwell Football Club's George Munger Award will be made via press release on December 15, 2009.
The formal presentation of this award will be made at the Maxwell Football Club's Awards Dinner, to be held on Friday March 5, 2010 at the Harrah's Entertainment Complex in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
