WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - Monmouth University Head Football Coach Kevin Callahan announced the addition of 17 student-athletes to the Hawk football program on Wednesday.
“We are very excited about this year’s class,†said Callahan. “It is a talented group that satisfies our positional needs and could have a relatively early impact on our team. The class is well balanced with line and skill position players and, without a doubt, they make us a better team. Our coaching staff has been very diligent during this recruiting cycle. We work hard to uncover some talented players and I applaud their work in bringing this class to Monmouth.â€
The National Letter of Intent signees include 16 total athletes, 10 from the Garden State, three from Maryland, and one each from New York and Pennsylvania. Callahan and his staff also will benefit from two mid-year transfers.
