BIG EAST OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Sunseri keyed a Pittsburgh offense that reeled off 537 yards on its way to a 35-17 win against No. 13 Virginia Tech, giving the Panthers their first win of the season. He completed 19 of 28 passes for 283 yards and three touchdowns, including two second-half TDs that answered Virginia Tech scores. He helped clinch the win in the fourth quarter, when he engineered a 15-play, 88-yard scoring drive that took nearly eight minutes off the clock.
BIG EAST DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Smallwood earns Big East Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time in three weeks following his effort in the Huskies’ 24-21 win at previously unbeaten Maryland. He had a game-high 14 tackles — five more than any other player in the game — to go with 2.5 sacks, 3.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble that led to a Connecticut field goal. Smallwood leads all FBS players in tackles for loss (3.0 per game) and is eighth nationally in sacks (1.3 per game).
BIG EAST SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nick Williams • Sr. • WR • Connecticut • East Windsor, N.J.
Williams accounted for 112 all-purpose yards, including a 58-yard punt return for a touchdown, in Connecticut’s 24-21 win at Maryland. On a day in which the Huskies’ offense was held to just 223 yards, Williams helped Connecticut’s cause with 52 yards on two kickoff returns and 60 yards on two punt returns.
